What we collect
Your name, email, school, department, level, matric number (students) or staff ID (lecturers), and your attendance records. When you mark attendance we also record your device identifier, IP address and timestamp to prevent cheating.
Location data
Present Sir! does not read or store your location. Location saved with attendance marked before November 2026, when this check was removed, is kept only with those records and is visible only to the course lecturer.
Why we collect it
To run class attendance: verifying who attended, showing records to your lecturer, and producing attendance reports.
Who can see it
Only you, the lecturer of a course you belong to, and course reps appointed by that lecturer (for sessions they run). We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us using the address below.
